Turning Pain into Power: New Chiropractic Clinic Opens in Grand Junction

Turning Pain into Power

Back pain affects nearly every adult at some point in life. For some, it’s a brief inconvenience. For others, it becomes a chronic, daily struggle that interferes with everything from walking to working. For Eric Brunner, a law enforcement officer turned clinic owner, back pain wasn’t just a health issue—it became the catalyst for a life-changing journey that led him to open The Joint Chiropractic franchise in Grand Junction, Colorado.

According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, approximately 80 percent of adults will experience back pain at some point in their lives. The causes range from sedentary work environments and injuries to aging and poor posture. For Brunner, it began early—with a car accident at age 15—and only worsened over time.

“In my 30s, I was told I needed surgery and wouldn’t be able to walk by my 40s,” Brunner recalls. “I sought out The Joint Chiropractic in Denver, and it changed my life.”

A Personal Health Crisis Becomes a Professional Mission

For 14 years, Brunner relied on chiropractic care to manage his condition. The Denver-based clinic provided walk-in care that was both affordable and accessible—something he says made all the difference in maintaining his mobility and avoiding invasive surgery.

However, when Brunner moved to Grand Junction, he noticed a troubling gap.

“With nearly 1,000 clinics across the U.S., I realized there wasn’t one here in the valley,” he said. “So I decided I wanted to bring that same ease, affordability, and convenience to Grand Junction.”

The result is a brand-new The Joint Chiropractic location in the heart of the city—a clinic founded not just as a business opportunity, but as a personal calling.

What The Joint Chiropractic Offers

The Joint is a well-known national chiropractic brand that focuses on making routine care convenient and affordable, without the need for insurance, appointments, or long wait times. The clinics operate on a walk-in model, open six days a week, and offer membership pricing for ongoing care.

Key services include:

  • Spinal adjustments to relieve tension, align joints, and support nervous system function
  • Wellness plans for consistent, long-term care
  • Education and advice on posture, ergonomics, and preventive health

These offerings are especially helpful for those suffering from:

  • Chronic back and neck pain
  • Sciatica
  • Joint pain
  • Sports and work-related injuries
  • Headaches linked to spinal misalignment

Meeting a Growing Need in Western Colorado

Grand Junction and the broader Western Slope have long faced limited access to specialized wellness services, especially for those seeking non-invasive care for chronic pain. With this new clinic, Brunner hopes to meet that need—and offer others what he once feared he would lose: mobility and freedom from pain.

“It’s not just about treating symptoms. It’s about helping people reclaim their lives,” Brunner says.

He believes The Joint’s model will resonate in Grand Junction’s active and family-oriented community, where residents often balance demanding physical jobs, recreational pursuits, and the day-to-day strains of parenting or aging.

Affordability Without Compromise

One of the biggest challenges in healthcare access—especially for chiropractic or wellness care—is cost. The Joint’s business model tackles this head-on with transparent pricing, no insurance requirements, and monthly wellness plans that make consistent care financially feasible for individuals and families.

This is particularly important in communities where high-deductible health plans or lack of coverage can discourage patients from seeking preventive care until issues become acute.

A Clinic Rooted in Real Experience

Unlike many healthcare ventures, Brunner’s new clinic is not just rooted in research or financial opportunity—it’s grounded in his personal journey. From a teenage car accident to a nearly debilitating diagnosis in his 30s, he understands firsthand the frustration and fear that come with chronic pain.

His story makes him not just the owner of a chiropractic clinic, but an advocate for others who may be suffering in silence.

“I know what it’s like to wake up in pain and wonder how long you can keep going,” he says. “Now, I get to help others wake up with hope.”

What’s Next for The Joint in Grand Junction

As the new clinic begins seeing patients, Brunner and his team are focused on building trust with the community—educating new patients about what chiropractic care can do, and dispelling myths about its safety or effectiveness.

The clinic’s opening reflects a larger national trend: a growing interest in integrative and preventive health services. From chiropractic to acupuncture to physical therapy, more Americans are seeking alternatives to prescription medication and surgery.

With its accessible model and deeply personal mission, The Joint in Grand Junction may just be the right solution at the right time.

Personalized, Patient-First Care Philosophy

At the core of Town Chiropractor’s approach is personalized care. Every patient receives a thorough initial evaluation to identify the cause of their symptoms, followed by a collaborative treatment plan tailored to their lifestyle, fitness level, and wellness goals.

Southern Nevada Chiropractic Opens 8th Clinic, Bringing Specialized Car Accident Injury Treatment to Las Vegas Residents

Southern Nevada Chiropractic Opens 8th Clinic

In a city with heavy traffic and a high incidence of auto collisions, access to prompt and specialized injury care is critical. Southern Nevada Chiropractic, the region’s trusted provider of post-accident treatment, has opened its eighth clinic to meet that demand. The new location in Blue Diamond enhances the practice’s ability to serve patients recovering from motor vehicle accidents with fast, focused, and compassionate care.

With its continued growth, Southern Nevada Chiropractic reinforces its reputation as the go-to destination for car accident recovery in the Las Vegas Valley. Each clinic is strategically positioned to offer convenient, same-day evaluations for common collision-related conditions like whiplash, back pain, neck injuries, and muscular trauma.

“Our new clinic will allow us to reach more patients and offer them the support they need to recover from their injuries and manage their pain effectively,” said Dr. Michael Reiss, founder of Southern Nevada Chiropractic. “We are thrilled to continue expanding and remain committed to helping our community feel better faster.”

A Network Built for Rapid Recovery

With locations in North Las Vegas, Summerlin, Green Valley, Central Vegas, Southwest Vegas, and now Blue Diamond, Southern Nevada Chiropractic is building a treatment infrastructure tailored for rapid response to auto injury needs. The goal is to reduce the lag between injury and treatment, which can often make the difference between temporary discomfort and chronic pain.

This expansion is not about volume alone. Each clinic adheres to the group’s “Feel Better Faster” philosophy, offering:

  • Timely appointments, often on the same day
  • Personalized treatment plans based on the patient’s condition and history
  • Non-invasive therapies designed to restore movement and reduce inflammation
  • Supportive care that goes beyond physical treatment, including patient education and legal documentation support

The result is a streamlined experience for patients navigating the aftermath of car accidents, from the moment of injury to full recovery.

Why Specialization Matters in Auto Injury Treatment

Unlike general chiropractic practices, Southern Nevada Chiropractic specializes exclusively in car accident injury care. This singular focus allows the team to deeply understand the patterns of trauma associated with vehicle collisions, including:

  • Whiplash
  • Spinal misalignment
  • Soft tissue damage
  • Joint stiffness and inflammation

With years of experience and a dedicated treatment model, the clinics are equipped to handle the complex recovery needs of patients who may not realize the full extent of their injuries until days or weeks after an accident.

“We treat thousands of patients every year who have suffered motor vehicle injuries,” said Dr. Reiss. “Our clinics are designed to help patients not only relieve pain but also understand the healing process so they can return to their normal lives as soon as possible.”

Patient Trust Earned Through Results

The strength of the Southern Nevada Chiropractic network lies not only in its clinical expertise but in the trust it has built with patients. The practice boasts more than 1,300 five-star Google reviews, a testament to its consistent, high-quality care and patient-first approach.

Patients often cite:

  • The speed of care after an accident
  • The professionalism and friendliness of staff
  • The clarity of communication about treatment plans
  • The support in navigating insurance and claims

This reputation is helping the Blue Diamond clinic hit the ground running, drawing new patients from neighborhoods previously underserved by specialized auto injury care.

Education and Resources for Navigating Recovery

Understanding the treatment process after a car accident can be overwhelming. Southern Nevada Chiropractic goes beyond physical care by offering educational resources, including:

  • A free downloadable guide that outlines post-accident steps, common injuries, and recovery expectations
  • Success stories that highlight patient journeys and outcomes
  • Blog articles and FAQs that demystify chiropractic care for first-time patients

This proactive approach helps patients make informed decisions about their care and builds confidence during a stressful time.

Meeting a Critical Need in a High-Traffic City

Las Vegas is known for its constant flow of vehicle traffic, and with that comes a heightened risk of collisions. Southern Nevada Chiropractic’s latest expansion directly addresses this reality by offering:

  • Immediate access to injury care without the delays common in general medical practices
  • Specialized expertise in treating injuries often missed or misdiagnosed in urgent care settings
  • Convenient locations that make it easier for patients to follow through with treatment

The new Blue Diamond clinic is yet another step toward ensuring no patient has to travel far or wait long for help after an accident.

Looking Ahead

As the population of Las Vegas grows and traffic congestion continues to rise, the need for dedicated auto injury care will only become more pronounced. Southern Nevada Chiropractic’s strategic expansion signals a long-term commitment to serving that need, with more potential clinics in the pipeline.

“We believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality, specialized care close to home,” said Dr. Reiss. “This new clinic is just one more way we’re delivering on that promise.”

New Clinic Opens to Keep Soldiers on Duty at Fort Rucker

New Clinic Opens to Keep Soldiers on Duty

A significant step toward improving Soldier readiness and family care took shape with the official opening of new physical therapy and chiropractic clinics at Lyster Army Health Clinic (LAHC) on November 20. This milestone comes after a 395-day construction project that doubled the clinic’s physical space and introduced modern, integrated treatment capabilities—all aimed at helping Soldiers recover faster and remain mission-ready.

In 2022 alone, over $321,000 was spent on off-post physical therapy services for Soldiers and their Families. With the opening of these new facilities, that care can now be delivered on post, improving convenience and dramatically reducing both cost and downtime for injured service members.

Advancing Soldier Care Through On-Post Services

Musculoskeletal injuries are among the most common and costly issues facing Soldiers today. From field exercises and combat training to intramural sports like football and disc golf, the physical demands of Army life naturally result in strains, sprains, and injuries.

“Musculoskeletal injuries are the highest disabling cost in the Army,” said Col. James A. Laterza, commander of the U.S. Army Aeromedical Center and LAHC. “We can now increase patient convenience because they will not have to go off post, and we will be able to return Soldiers to training quicker.”

By keeping Soldiers on-site for physical therapy and chiropractic care, the clinic not only shortens recovery times but also supports unit readiness and morale. Injured personnel no longer need to navigate off-post appointments or lengthy travel, which in the past often resulted in “down slips”—temporary duty restrictions that sidelined Soldiers for longer-than-necessary periods.

A $12 Million Investment in Soldier Health

The physical therapy and chiropractic clinics are part of a $12 million upgrade to LAHC, initiated 18 months ago to modernize and expand multiple departments. Approximately $800,000 of that total was allocated for the new therapy clinics.

“That was a credit to our facilities staff and our leadership, but really the service chiefs that were here at the time saying, ‘We have got to upgrade and improve this facility,’” said Laterza.

This is not the only improvement at Lyster in recent months. The behavioral health department held its grand opening earlier this year, and the lab is scheduled to reopen in January. A newly upgraded pharmacy is expected to debut in June, as part of LAHC’s long-term plan to expand comprehensive in-house services for Soldiers and their Families.

Integrated Care Model: Physical Therapy Meets Chiropractic Medicine

One of the most noteworthy features of the new clinics is the co-location of physical therapy and chiropractic services. Traditionally, these disciplines are offered separately, which can create communication gaps in treatment planning. LAHC’s integrated model allows practitioners to collaborate in real-time, offering complementary care that is tailored to each patient’s specific injury and recovery needs.

“A lot of times you will see the differences between physical therapy and chiropractic medicine,” Laterza said. “But having them co-located allows them to work together and do the things that they do better than each other, and communicate better for the benefit of the patient.”

Future Partnerships to Expand Access

Looking ahead, LAHC is exploring partnerships with the Veterans Affairs (VA) to extend these upgraded services to veterans in the area. Many veterans currently travel long distances, such as to Montgomery, for their physical therapy appointments—a burden the new clinic could help eliminate.

“We don’t want our veterans to have to drive to Montgomery for their care. We now have that capacity, so we hope that we can soon provide this type of care for them,” said Laterza.

Ready for the Next Chapter

While the clinic is fully operational, new staff hires are expected in the coming months to further expand patient access and ensure Soldiers are returned to full duty as efficiently as possible. The clinic is expected to serve not only active-duty Soldiers but also Family members, offering a comprehensive solution for injury recovery, mobility improvement, and long-term health.

Beyond its high-tech facilities, what sets LAHC apart is its enduring commitment to quality care and readiness.

“This is all about patient care, which is what we do best,” Laterza added. “Lyster has been an incredible place where things have been accomplished. It feels great to see these things start and be completed.”

Key Takeaways:

  • New physical therapy and chiropractic clinics opened at Fort Rucker’s LAHC
  • $12 million total facility upgrade, with $800,000 for the new clinics
  • Clinics offer on-post care, reducing cost and recovery time
  • Integrated care model enhances collaboration between providers
  • Plans to expand services to local veterans through VA partnerships
  • Additional staff to be hired to meet growing demand
